This is a service without cost to the recipients, sponsored in cooperation
with Michigan Department of Community Health's Hearing Program and Children's
Special Health Care Services. Children receive a diagnostic examination by a
board certified physician who specializes in evaluation and care of the ears.
At the clinic a certified audiologist tests the child. Invitations are sent to
families to attend the otology clinic following pre-school and school age screening.
The services provided by the physician include medical examination of the ears, nose
and throat, diagnosis and recommendations. Treatment and/or prescription of medication
are provided at the discretion of the physician.
