ENHANCING THE
BABYCARE SYSTEM
Work in this area
is focused on the clinical environment
in Genesee County. The goal is to shape
the future direction of maternal and
infant health in Genesee County to
increase healthy birth outcomes by
influencing health policies, and
supporting training and research.
COMMUNITY
MOBILIZATION
Continued dialogue,
advocacy and community involvement is
promoted in order to address structural
barriers that create social conditions
that are harmful to infant health.
REDUCING
RACISM
Addresses the
history of racism and promotes a common
definition of racism in order to
adequately address how it impacts the
healthcare system, particularly its
impact on infant mortality in Genesee
County.
