The Genesee County Emergency Preparedness Program is responsible for collaborating with public and private agencies to assure a timely and effective response during a public health emergency.  On this page you will find helpful information, links to websites, and tools that will help you increase your level of preparedness.

Personal and Family Preparedness

The Checklists outlined below were created by the Do 1 Thing program to help you become more prepared.  The mission of Do 1 Thing is to move individuals, families, organizations, businesses, and communities to prepare for all hazards and become disaster resilient.

Health Threat Preparedness Committee

Emergency Preparedness convenes a Health Threat Preparedness Committee (HTPC) composed of community partners from various agencies. The HTPC meets quarterly. Contact April Swartout at (810) 424-4441 or by e-mail at aswartout@gchd.us for more information.  HTPC Committee Members include:
