Housing Opportunities for People with HIV/AIDS


The HOPWA program receives Federal funding for services to prevent homelessness among people with HIV/AIDS. Available services include: direct housing assistance, supportive services, and housing advocacy. Housing services are sub-contracted and coordinated by Bay Area Social Intervention Services, Inc.(BASIS) and are available to a nine-county region (Bay, Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, and Tuscola). Services can be accessed through BASIS in Bay City or Wellness AIDS Services in Flint.
