Current Situation

The Genesee County Health Department
(GCHD) has been investigating a case
of Active Tuberculosis (TB) Disease at Flint
Central Academy in the Flint
Community Schools since March 2007 (Link
to Timeline of Events)
-
162 close contacts have been
identified and notified for skin
testing; as of July 30, 2007, 120 have
completed their skin testing
-
Two children
have tested positive for
tuberculosis infection in Flint
Central High School
-
GCHD
strongly encourages the remaining 42
who have not completed their skin
testing to visit one of the 3 Health
Department
clinic sites for a skin test
