Clinics
Announced for 2010-2011 School Immunization Requirements
New school immunization requirements are going
into effect in Michigan for the upcoming school year. The Genesee County
Health Department (GCHD) will be providing special evening immunization
clinics for children living in Genesee County. The following is a list of
dates for these special clinics that will be provided at the GCHD Burton
Branch location from 5 pm – 7 pm:

Thursday, August 26, 2010
o
Tuesday, August 31, 2010
o
Wednesday, September 8, 2010
These clinics are available by appointment only.
To determine if your child is eligible to receive immunizations at these
clinics and to schedule an appointment, e-mail
jetson@gchd.us or call 237-4546.
The Genesee County Health Department strongly
recommends that you contact your child’s health care provider immediately to
ensure that your child is up to date on his or her immunizations before
school begins. Children in kindergarten, 6th grade, and those
entering a new school district for the first time can be excluded from
school if they have not received the required vaccines.
