The Genesee County Health

Metropolitan Planning Commission to speak in the fourth segment of the Green
Speaker Series on various environmentally friendly issues. The public is
invited and encouraged to attend. This segment will feature the current
recycling efforts that are underway in schools and workplaces throughout
Genesee County. In addition, Taylor and Scramlin will discuss their
recommendations to expand recycling efforts.
Taylor is the Senior Planner
at the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission in the Transportation
and Environmental Division. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Resource Planning. With over 12 years of experience in environmental
programs, she has worked with many organizations to plan and implement
effective recycling programs throughout Genesee County.
Scramlin is the Associate
Planner at the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission in the
Transportation and Environmental Division. He received his Bachelor of
Science Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State
University. A relatively new addition to the Department with 2 ½ years
experience, he brings a sense of excitement about implementing new clean and
green initiatives in Genesee County.
The Green Speaker Series is
part of the Genesee County Health Department’s efforts to create
environments for healthy living. Creating environments for healthy living is
one of six public health system strategies in the Health Department’s
2008-2012 Strategic Plan.
