RE:  Grandma’s Recipes goes permanently smoke-free

On Monday, June 16, 2008 at 4:00p.m., Grandma’s Recipes will be awarded a Smoke-free Dining Award by the Genesee County Health Department and the Smoke-free, Multi-Agency Resource Team (SMART).  This award recognizes Grandma’s Recipes for providing Genesee County residents with a healthy environment as a smoke-free restaurant.  Providing a smoke-free environment protects the health of employees and customers, while providing a pleasurable dining experience.

Owners Vicki and Tom Campbell quit smoking two years ago when a close relative experienced tobacco-related illness.  Now they have decided to make their business smoke-free also.  “We pride ourselves on running a clean and healthy establishment, secondhand smoke is not conducive to a clean and healthy environment” stated owner Vicki Campbell.

Grandma’s Recipes is located at 3538 Richfield Road in Flint and will be 100% smoke-free starting Monday, June 16, 2008.  Hours of operation are 8:00a.m. – 10:00pm seven days a week.
