As the nation suffers the sting
of rising fuel prices, alternative forms of energy become increasingly
important. Energy sources such as wind, solar and geothermal power will be
a necessary component in the future, one that can provide greater benefit
with less environmental impact.
In the continuing series Going
Green with the Genesee County Health Department, our next
discussion “Sustainable Energy” will be presented by Dr. David Benson,
assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering at Kettering University in
Flint, on May 6th, at 10:00 AM.
Dr. Benson received his PhD from Michigan
State University in Mechanical Engineering. His areas of expertise include
educational methods, solar magneto-convection and Computational Fluid
Dynamics simulation of mixed-compression inlets. Dr. Benson will present
information regarding sustainable energy such as solar power, wind power,
wave power, geothermal power, tidal power and others. Join us at the
Genesee County Health Department for this free seminar to learn more about
these exciting alternative energy sources – reserve your spot today!
