The Genesee County Health Department announces its 3rd Annual Public Health Week Conference to be held on April 8-9, 2008 on the Flint Cultural Center campus, 1120 E. Kearsley St., in Flint, Michigan. The conference is entitled “Building the Future of Public Health:  Refocus Ø Redesign Ø Reenergize”. Its goal is to encourage efforts and improve the public’s health. The conference will feature four nationally-recognized keynote speakers: Julie Gerberding, Director, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Peter Ajluni, President, American Osteopathic Association; Deborah Prothrow-Stith, Professor, Harvard School of Public Health; and Kevin Stephens, Director, New Orleans Health Department.  The conference will also feature four themed tracks with breakout sessions led by local experts as well as speakers from across the US.
