PRC Spring Conference

  

Innovative Strategies to Address Genesee County’s Health Challenges is the title of a conference showcasing exciting local health initiatives that combine academic study and community wisdom to create new knowledge.  The conference will be held on April 12, 2002 at the Genesys Conference Center and is sponsored by the Genesee County Community Board of the Prevention Research Center of Michigan.  Registration is free and transportation is available.  Conference participants will discuss health priorities and explore opportunities for collaboration and synergy.  The conference will include a plenary session focusing on the collaborative process used in the Fathers and Sons Project, REACH 2010, and the Youth Violence Prevention Center.  The Genesee County Health Department’s strategic planning process will be presented and discussed.  Interactive workshops will provide opportunities to share goals, create linkages, identify resources, and plan for the future.

Partners in the Prevention Research Center Genesee County Community Board are Faith Access to Community Economic Development, Flint/Genesee County Neighborhood Roundtable, Flint Odyssey House Health Awareness Center, Genesee County Community Action Resource Department, Genesee County Health Department, Greater Flint Health Coalition, University of Michigan-Flint, and University of Michigan School of Public Health.
