The Genesee County
Health Department has received a grant from the Delta Dental Fund.
The grant, in the amount of $10,000, will be used to
purchase dental equipment for the new Burton Health Center. This
new equipment will help provide dental services in an area where
there is a high unmet need for such services.
A groundbreaking for the new Burton Health Center is
planned for August of this year.
The Delta Dental
Fund is a nonprofit, charitable organization that was established
in 1980 by the Delta Dental Plan of Michigan. The goal of this
charitable organization is, in part, to promote dental health of
the public through education and assistance in the provision of
services, especially to those with special needs or in underserved
areas.
