Better Life Through Better Health
Two Year Old
Birthday Party and Kaleidoscope
"All My Shots By Two, Cause I’m Important to You,"
is the campaign slogan for the Genesee County Partnership for
Immunizations. The coalition focuses on getting children fully
immunized by the age of two.
To support this effort, all two-year-olds in Genesee County are
invited to a birthday party in their honor. It will be held on
Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Crossroads Village, in association with
Kaleidoscope. The party will take place from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Participants will receive cake, ice cream, and gifts. Free shots
and record checks will be available to ensure the children are
up-to-date with their vaccinations. Parents and guardians are
reminded to bring their children’s immunization records.
The children will also have the opportunity to take part in
many Kaleidoscope activities. Kaleidoscope is sponsored by the
Greater Flint/Thumb Area 4C’s Association, Genesee County Parks
and Recreation Commission, Greater Flint Arts Council, along with
the Flint Journal. Bubble fun, painting, story telling, parachute
play, paper hat making, and a magic show
are just some of the planned events for the day. See the Flint
Journal for a coupon for free entry to Crossroads Village for this
event.
