Flu Vaccine

For people that have not yet received the flu shot, it is not too late. The Genesee County Health Department still has influenza vaccine available. The influenza vaccine is recommended for healthy people 65 years of age and older and adults and children with underlying high risk medical conditions such as heart, lung, and kidney problems, diabetes, certain types of cancer, immunological disorders that lower the body's normal resistance to infection, and lastly, health care personnel who may be in contact with high risk individuals. There will be a $10.00 charge for the flu vaccine. If you feel you are at increased risk for influenza you can receive the vaccine at one of three regular clinic sites for immunizations.

If you have any questions call the Genesee County Health Department at (810) 257-3612.
