Join us for a FREE 3-day training workshop addressing racism & infant mortality in Genesee County!

Wednesday & Thursday, June 20—21, 2012 (8:30 am—5:00 pm)
Friday, June 22, 2012 (8:30 am—12:00 pm)


At the conclusion of the 2 1/2 day workshop, participants will:

• Have a common definition of racism and an understanding of its different forms
• Understand one’s own connection to institutional racism and its impact in the community
• Understand the linkage between racism and infant mortality in Genesee County
• Develop ways to combat racial disparities in infant mortality in the African American community in Genesee County.

The Workshop is facilitated by the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond, a national and international collective of anti-racist, multicultural community organizers and educators dedicated to building an effective movement for social transformation.
