At the conclusion of the 2 1/2 day
workshop, participants will:
• Have a
common definition of racism and an
understanding of its different forms
• Understand one’s own connection to
institutional racism and its impact in
the community
• Understand the linkage between racism
and infant mortality in Genesee County
• Develop ways to combat racial
disparities in infant mortality in the
African American community in Genesee
County.
